FS: Bass Trombone Mutes Offers Considered

Post by thevillagetuba »

I have two bass trombone mutes that I haven't used in years and I would like to unload.

Frank de Polis hand made Cup mute $75 OBO
I bought this mute from Baltomore Brass about 8 years ago when it was dropped off by a former Baltinore Symphony player. This was my go to mute when I was playing bass trombone as I found it didn't have a huge effect on intonation and didn't brighten up my tone as much as others. Mute is in good condition, but with signs of use. Corks could be use redoing, but worked for me as is.

Jo-Ral Straight mute $60 OBO
This mute is in good condition, but with some scratches. Corks are still like-new as I have barely used this. Offers a great bright and buzzy tone. Purchased this for the few times I needed a mute to blend with the rest of the section in jazz bands.

Mutes are located in Cleveland, OH. Shipping costs will be extra.

Bump. Haven't played bass in years and don't need these. Make me an offer if you're interested.
