Re: FS: Kanstul-Geib Silver Plated Euro Tuba Mouthpiece-$75

Post by Lee Stofer »

This is an excellent mouthpiece. Kanstul made the first ten of my mouthpieces, marked Stofer Geib. Although they played very well, they told me that for some reason they could not buff them to a higher gloss, and that they could only replicate the knurling between the cup and shank by ordering special tooling, which I would have to pay for, but would belong to them (!) I absolutely loved everything about how the mouthpiece played, but did not want to deal with all that, so I contacted Jim Kelly in Wisconsin, who told me that he could do it all, and he has delivered on that ever since.

If you want a mouthpiece that plays as well as mine, and the cosmetics do not matter so much to you, this mouthpiece cost the manufacturer more than $70.00 to make, so it is an excellent deal.
