Olds Ambassador Trombone, H.N. White Eb/F Alto Horn

The storage clearing continues, this time, with some smaller horns:
First up is an Eb/F recording bell, front-action alto horn made by King (from the H.N. White years). King marketed these as "altoniums" back in the day to fit along side their marching baritones of the same design. This horn comes with the original main tuning slide extender, and there are little tick-marks on the slides to let the player know how far to pull out each one to convert it from F to Eb. Everything on the horn is original, and it has has some past repairs: a small ridge in the bell has been rolled out and on of the braces to the main tuning slide has been re-soldered, and there is a bit of singed lacquer at that spot. Most of the original lacquer is still there with a few scratches and cosmetic blemishes throughout. Plating on the pistons is great, and everything functions just fine. No case or mouthpiece with this one.

Next up is a nice Olds Ambassador straight tenor trombone. This one would be great for a doubler out there looking for an inexpensive, but quality jazz horn or something similar. most of the original lacquer is still there, with a few spots of cosmetic wear on the handslide brace and other high-contact areas. Handslide moves fine, as well as the tuning slide. Handlide lock is not original. This horn includes what I believe to be the original case, as well as the original Olds mouthpiece.
