Hello! I have a Big Mouth Brass 6/4 CC tuba, model J-865 that I'm looking to sell. It's four pistons with a dependent fifth rotor. I recently got the horn sonic-cleaned a few months ago, and I just got it back from the shop for dent removal. It has an even sound in all registers- dark, round, and present. Like all 6/4s, it has its set of intonation quirks. The first valve slide moves freely, and a rod on the second valve slide makes it easily accessible. The other slides are also right there if you choose to use them. I'm selling for financial reasons. My main horn is a do-it-all, and, in my current situation, it is hard to justify keeping this one. I have been successful using this horn as part of a section in wind ensemble, as the only tuba in orchestras, and even in smaller chamber groups.

The horn comes with a Helleberg-style mouthpiece, soft case, and hard case. I'm in SoCal and willing to drive a few hours to meet a serious buyer. Otherwise, shipping will be via Greyhound.
