I am selling my Meinl Weston 6460 Kodiak F Tuba in great condition. It is a large 6/4 6-valve rotary instrument (5+2 configuration) with a second valve kicker in the left hand. I purchased this instrument while studying with Alan Baer at Manhattan School of Music and it gladly received his blessing. While a large horn, it plays incredibly easily and is very free-blowing. It is very unlike how other rotary F tubas respond in the low range, as C below the staff is incredibly warm and open, as well as the other low notes. I am the second owner of the horn. There are some minor dings on the player side of the horn and one flat dent along the bottom bow that hides behind the main tuning slide that was there from the previous owner. Horn polishes up nicely. The instrument will include a black leather Cronkhite gig bag as well as a Jakob Winter hard case. These are not common horns and do not come up very often on the used-market!

Interested in possibly trading for a Thor, or a 3450s plus cash.

$13,200, buyer pays shipping
