Hello All,

I am looking to sell my Miraphone 186 located in Wichita, KS. I bought this horn back in late 2015, it plays great, just looking to upsize to a bigger horn. Comes with hard case or Altieri gig bag. You may pick either one.

This horn has served me well through the past few years, and has been cleaned/serviced frequently by my local technician. There is standard lacquer wear, some of which has been spot lacquered. Other small dents and scratches on the bottom bow, but does not affect how the horn plays. Thumb rotor is 2+3 on this horn.

Asking price for horn and case is $6250

I just checked. 1981 is around the right year, but the bell is in fact 17.75". I am not sure what the small numbers are under the serial, I can do some digging. I bought this horn from my local brass instrument shop.

Those small numbers are just something scratched in by a previous owner. Maybe a school?! Nice tuba.

I had one that was sold by Tuba Exchange... its model was marked a TE186. I bought it used in 2006, thinking it was made ca. 2000
