Hey everyone,
I'm selling a used Meinl Weston 45SLP 6/4 F tuba. The horn has a nice, velvety sound with a stable low register below C2. Like most 45SLP models, it comes with a 2nd valve kicker for tuning purposes. The horn comes with a few dents from its previous owners, but I found that these imperfections had no effect on the playability of the horn.
The tuba comes with MAW valves (no original valves) and an MTS 1207 hard case.
I purchased this tuba in the spring of 2017. I used it in orchestra and brass quintet, and I played some bass solo repertoire on it. Unfortunately, several unexpectant dental issues came up in the fall that have made playing the tuba for me too painful, so I am taking my musical pursuits in another direction.
I’m asking $6,000 for this tuba. This amount does not include shipping via Greyhound from Kingston, NY.
