Silver Miraphone 1291 CC $8,200.00 - Sold.

After long deliberation, I've decided I'd like to return to the world of rotary tubas so I'm listing my Miraphone 1291 for sale.
Miraphone 1291 CC Tuba - 4 Piston, 1 Rotor in silver plate.
Horn has had two owners (myself and previously, Dr. Beth Wiese). According to sources given to me, this horn was the 'pick of the litter' at Woodwind and Brasswind back when they had a brick and mortar store.
It has recently been modified by having a silver plated 1292 leadpipe installed. Leadpipe was prepped by a local technician and the plating was done by Anderson. I still have the original 1291 leadpipe that I'll include in the sale. All pistons are vented and slides move with ease.
Beyond that, it has seen a little bit of wear and tear due to travel it has gone through around the world with its previous owner. Any major work done to the horn prior to my ownership was handled by Lee Stofer. There are some minor dings and scratches along the body but nothing serious. Minor silverplate wear at contact points on valve section, tubing, and where horn sits in the lap. Recently chem cleaned in October.
Includes used Miraphone gig bag and MTS style hard case.
Horn is located in Pensacola, Florida. Would prefer local pick up but willing to travel up to 350 miles away to meet, or transport via Greyhound. Asking price is $8,200.00 which will include the tuba, Miraphone gig bag, hard case, and Sellmansberger Blokepiece Orchestra Grand (#2 33.2, OG cup, OG Am shank). Will accept cash or certified check that can be verified. Will not ship for testing but you are welcome to make arrangements to come test the horn.
