Hello all. I'm selling my Yamaha YFB-822 gold brass F tuba. I've had this horn for about 3 years and love it but it's just not quite what I need right now, so I'm moving on from it.

These Yamaha 822 F's are very popular horns and certainly have a good reputation, and this horn holds up the standard. It's got great response and control, and is the perfect horn for playing in orchestra, quintet, solo, and any other situation you can imagine. It will be as big or as small as you can make it and is really a lot of fun to play. Intonation is solid and I keep up maintenance on my horns fairly well so it's still in wonderful playing shape; the horn also had a full chem cleaning/felt and spring replacement 6 months ago. This particular horn is an early production model (129) and doesn't have the usual Yamaha stamp on the bell, which makes it a little more interesting. Besides a couple dings and some lacquer wear, it's still in great shape. Pictures are available by Google Drive at this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

The horn comes with a Yamaha hard case as well as a black Altieri gig bag. I'll also throw in a Miraphone TU 29 mouthpiece that I got with it when I first bought it.
I'm asking $7000 (OBO) + shipping for the horn and both cases. I'm located in lower Hudson Valley NY and would prefer not to have to ship the instrument, so I am willing to drive a fair distance and meet someone as well. I'll also be at the U.S. Army Tuba/Euphonium conference this weekend and would be able to bring the horn with me if someone was interested in playing/purchasing.

Happy practicing!
