Hey All,

I’m selling my Yamaha 822 F tuba. The horn was built in 1997 and has been taken great care of ever since. You’ll notice that it doesn’t have the “custom” bell stamp. The horn comes with a new set of valves as well as the original set. A black Reunion Blues gig bag handmade by Cronkhite will be included. The tuba will also come with a Schpilff Silent Mute. There is some minor silver wear from everyday use and a couple small dings on the bottom bow bumper guard. Otherwise, this tuba is in excellent condition. It’s got a great low register with a rich, dark tone that can keep up with any CC or BBb tuba. This is with no sacrifice to the agility you’d expect from an F tuba.

This is a great 822. I’ve played hundreds of hours of duets and long tones with Joe on this horn and it’s got a great big sound and very easy and even response. Sometimes 822’s get a bit of a fuzzy/woofy sound to my ear, but this horn has never leaned that direction. The lack of “custom” stamp on the bell is just from the date of manufacturing, when yamaha hadn’t started adding that to these horns yet. 10/10 would recommend this particular 822 to anyone looking for one or a similar big piston f.
