FS: Custom Screw bell Elkhart Conn 62h with Thayers

Post by JChiang »

Highly customized horn for sale. Love the sound and I was really hoping I could get used to the Thayers. Unfortunately, they just don't work as well for me.

This horn plays really well in the valve and sounds like a Conn on steroids. It has 1st Gen Thayer valves (independent) and a screw bell. The j bend is in great shape and the screw ring works well.

Slide is original and I would rate it a solid 9/10. No wear on the stockings. The tuning in slide mechanism works well. Missing some of the original nuts but there are replacement nuts that work and look fine.

Included is a flight case. Heavy duty plywood flight case with metal hardware. It was shipped to me like this and got to me without any issues. The foam on the inside is a little grungy but the case does the job. If you play super sharp, you'll probably have to push the slide back in a bit to fit properly.

$3500usd + shipping. Horn is located in Vancouver Canada. Can ship out of WA.
