I’m somewhat surprised I’m doing this, but I’ve found something I like even better. This is the original wiseman from the demo video on Mack Brass website. It was then owned by Rich Serpa of the Richmond Symphony. Rich had several modifications done( known as the “Baer mods”). Lengthened main and 4th slides primarily. Valves vented,4th and 1st top slides move great. I do have MAW valves available. These were fitted to a different wiseman by Martin Wilk. The 4th began hanging up a while back and I went back to the original valves, which feel great. I suspect the MAWs just need new valve guides. You can have those too for 750 and yes, would sell separately, with first dibs to horn buyer. Will come with original wiseman Chinese roller case. Add around 125-150 for greyhound shipping. As always, would love to sell to someone local or a friend. For those who aren’t familiar, this is a very close copy of a pt6p. They were so good that B&S(buffet group) reportedly bought the wiseman factory and they now make student level horns for them. I believe you could use this horn in any professional situation you had the ability for and not be hindered. I just like the Eastman 836 a little better. Pics to follow.

Very interested in this! Would you take payments or do you want this in full?

One of the finest tubas to ever come out of China, and competitive with any model from anywhere. If somebody offered to give me a PT6P for my Wisemann I would turn them down.

Great horn needs a new home. Plays great. Beautifully set up. If you are considering a real pt6p, which go used in the 10-11,000 range, you might consider this, and have money left over to buy a good used f.

Now 5000. Great tuba, just don’t need 2 in same size class.
