Mack Brass MACK-TU355L

These is another of my buddy Ed's horns...

The Mack Brass is the ultimate old man tuba, travel tuba, or a great quintet horn for a BB-flat player. puts out a surprising amount of sound considering the small bugle. Just like the YBB-103 that it's based on

Please direct any questions to the actual seller by PM to "gvtuba" on this forum.

I've known Ed for over 10 years. He's a stand-up guy who is a former law enforcement officer.
He will do you right.
Per Ed:
"[This] is a very little used Mack Brass 3/4 Bflat horn. This horn is based upon the very popular Yamaha 103 with the 4th valve added. The rotary valves are “reversed” which helps make the horn more compact and the valves quicker in my opinion.

The horn is in very good condition. There are a couple of scratches and a 50 cent sized dent on the bottom bow. The valves have been swedged and are fairly quiet.

This little horn is also fun to play, and even more fun to schlep around. It works quite well in a brass quintet, choir, oompah band setting. It is acceptable in a community band setting with a full section. However, our community band can grow up to 80-90 players, and the horn is lacking if only a couple tubas are playing. The horn comes with a like new semi hard case. I am asking $1450 for this horn."

Please also note that the Wessex Luzerne that was in the same ad is now sold.
