SOLD FS: B&S Symphonie F and MTS Case

Hello Everyone,

I'm selling my Sanders stamped B&S Symphonie F tuba and an accompanying MTS Hard Case. This is from an 80's vintage of the Symphonie model that I bought from our very own bloke, Joe Sellmansberger, in 2013. As you can see in the pictures in the album above, the rotors were updated with dubro linkages. The horn has some wear on the lacquer and just one ding on the bottom bow. This horn is from the era where they were handmade/rolled and, as such, is considerably lighter than most modern instruments. Its biggest attribute, in part from that thinner metal, is the tone color and character this tuba has. I've also got the original gig "bag" that has the Made in Western Germany tag on it, a very cool part of its history. Though I will say, it is more of a sack and I wouldn't rely on it for any type of serious protection. The MTS case has scuffs from wear and tear over the years, as do the handles, nothing some electrical tape wouldn't help augment. The wheels and wheel wells are in great shape.

The horn is currently located in Phoenix, AZ but I will be in Boulder, CO for July and could bring it there if any buyers would be interested in trying to meet to pick it up and avoid dealing with shipping. I've used this in orchestra, quintet, recital, as a soloist, and for auditions, it is an excellent all around instrument. Asking price is $6,500 for the horn, bag, and case.
