I've used this fine instrument with Houston Symphony, and the Symphony of Southeast Texas, regularly. I’ve also used it on many recording projects for several groups, faculty brass quintet tours with the University, and many more professional engagements. A very versatile instrument, indeed. It is in excellent condition with no bell damage repair at all.

The only damage I can see on the body is from a brace being pressed into a branch maybe a quarter of an inch, then repaired (by Bloke). There is a spot on the bell that I marked on the photos were there is a factory silver blemish.

What's the story on the sudden upward bend on the lead-pipe?

Hi Barry,
It was professionally bent, with pitch, by a very capable repair person. I find that it comes to the face at a more natural angle after that modification. Like a trumpet or a trombone, if you like. I’ve only noticed positive results after having it done to a couple of my horns. Thanks for the question.
