NOW FOR SALE: $700 (includes tuba, mouthpiece and gig bag)
I bought this horn in late May for two reasons: 1.) I was financially run thin and had sold my main horn but wanted something to practice on, and 2.) I needed a BBb horn to teach beginners on as well as cover any light gigs during the summer. This horn? Filled all those needs.
Is it plastic? Yes. Is it as good as a brass horn? Depends on the brand. I would not audition anywhere on his horn, but man can it work in a relaxed environment. The rotors aren’t the quietest, but I have definitely played worse. The horn itself plays tighter than I expected too. I personally like to use my own RT-48 more than the plastic mouthpiece it came with...but if I had an outdoor gig in the cold: that mouthpiece would be perfect.
This is a great horn for anyone. If a brass tuba is too heavy, this could be a great alternative as well. Tuba is in great condition, little to no signs of use. The gig bag has a strap that won’t “click” in, but besides that is functional. Horn is in Indianapolis, IN. Would prefer not to ship!
