I'm giving up on my dreams (nightmares) of becoming a great Tuba-Euph doubler. For sale is my Besson E-flat tuba — 15" bell, compensating 3+1. Serial number begins 492XXX, placing this horn right around 1971 by my research. You can tell it's seen some love over the years, but everything works and is in pretty good condition currently. No big dents, aside from the pin on the bottom bow getting poked in.
Receiver was swapped for a standard American shank receiver — pictured here with a Wick 3L, which is included and practically new. Also throwing in the Wessex gig bag. It's a little roomy, but holds the horn just fine.
This would be a great horn for a eupher looking to get some chops on tuba. $2500 for the whole package.
Currently located in Waco, TX.
