FS Hercules Playing Rest

$50 + s+h ( they sell for over $90 new)
I used to use this all of the time with my previous horn, but the ergonomics of my present axe make it easier and more convenient to just have on my lap with a mouse pad.
Has two different rest options - the traditional cupped rest and with an insert it becomes more of a solid flat base.
The only real issue is one that caused me to create the cosmetic blemish you will see in the photos. I found the tubing so smooth that no matter how tight I tightened things, it still liked to wiggle its way down. So, perhaps unceremoniously, I decided to take some sand paper and scuff up the tubes to add to the friction coefficient... and it worked marvelously in that I have never had to readjust again.
So what looks like a blemish is actually a very function remedy.
Sturdier than the DEG by a long mile, imo.
