Up for sale is a really nice 1970s B&M Marzan BBb tuba. I bought this from Dan Schultz a few months ago and it is a player! Unfortunately, I’m just not using it enough to keep it, and I bought a very cheap BBb to take its place for the little bit of tuba playing I’m doing now-a-days.

Dan described this as the nicest Marzan he’s come across, and came to him via the original owner’s estate after he owned it for 40+ years. It’s in excellent shape. A few dings and lacquer loss but nothing major at all, especially for something that’s 50 years old!

No case, but I have the carton that Dan shipped it to me in and can ship it to you. I would prefer pickup in person in Denver, but am happy to ship on your dime.

Having tried every iteration of these horns (piston, rotor, CC, BBb) my personal belief is that the BBb rotary Marzans are the best. For a "super 4/4" to 5/4 BBb you will be hard pressed to find something better.

Thanks Marty, it's definitely a great player! I picked up the old Cerveny for $1000 that was on sale here a few weeks ago - it's perfect for the very sporadic tuba playing I do, so this one needs a new home to someone who will play it more often than me! Send me a message, let's make a deal.

Great buying experience tmz1! Arrived in perfect shape via Greyhound and settling in to a new home. It is exactly as described. Who knows, maybe it will be for sale again one day, seems we are all buying and selling each other's horns!
