2 week old Eastman 836S plays great, just bigger than I need. No lines or fees!
Comes with hard case and mouthpiece.
Located in Berkshire Vt, willing to meet up or greyhound ship the horn.

Size-wise, how did it compare to your huge old Cerveny?
Sorry you aren't keeping it, but I'm sure you'll end up with something else excellent, especially if that's your budget!

why wouldn't someone just order a new one, since they are typically around 10 k retail?

They are ~$11,460 retail for the 836S and including taxes on top of that you are rounding ~12k. My guess is that is one reason someone would rather not pay retail for a new one.
