I am putting the feelers out to trade my Kanstul 5490 for another large, York-style CC tuba. Something like the new Eastman 836, PT6 (rotary or piston), or any other similarly sized CC tuba. Considering selling, make an offer.

My Kanstul is a nice tuba, it plays very well. The low register is open and free blowing. The pistons are extremely short action for a large CC tuba. And it has that classic "velvet" tone that most people look for in this size of tuba.

I've had it for about 2 years now and have used it practically every day. It has some dings and dents from being carried around campus in a gig bag as you can imagine.

The only reason I am putting this ad up is because the ergonomics just aren't a perfect fit for me.

I would consider outright selling for the right offer

I am more than willing to get it serviced (full cleaning and dent removal) before trading or selling, just a matter of having time to do so as a full time student.
