Air Cargo is a great option for shipping Jumbo sousaphones.
Many production companies are selling off old Clydesdale cases for $100 each - buy one of those in the Boston area, pack the Jumbo into it, and ship it home via Air Cargo. That's what I did when I sent a Jumbo sousaphone to Europe.

An absolutely beautiful horn! Oh, that it is so far away and more importantly, I am 60 years old and would not have the capacity to play it!
