SOLD FS: Cronkhite-made bag for Yorkophone—$325
Posted: Wed Feb 26, 2020 1:08 pm
Edit: Sold!
I am offering for sale a large Glen Cronkhite gig bag made for Reunion Blues. I purchased this bag new from Tony Clements about 16 or 17 years ago, and used it with the York Master, for which it is really too wide, but still worked fine. I don’t need to say that Cronkhite bags are the best available.
The bag (barely) fits my Holton BB-345 (which is NOT for sale), and I think that tuba is a bit larger than CC Yorkophones that are 38ish inches tall with a 20” bell. The Holton valves really project out the front of the instrument more than most Yorkophones. Any CC Yorkophone less than 39” tall should fit handily—that’s what this bag was made for.
I used the bag for a couple of years before I bought the Holton, and then only occasionally after that. I have a different bag for the Holton that is slightly roomier.
Condition is very good with no flaw and only a few signs of use.
$325 plus shipping. The bag is located in northern Virginia, and I can deliver it to anyone in the DC area.
The Holton is inside the bag in this picture:

Original (excellent) backpack straps:

Clamshell opening design:

Big enough for any York-style 6/4 tuba (this is a Holton BB-345):
