I am selling my Willson 3050s piston valved CC tuba, which plays absolutely beautifully, to fund purchase a York-style tuba. Asking price is $9,200 OBO. The tuba is sold with an Altieri bag to fit the horn, as well as the original Willson wood case that, so far, has been indestructible.

I am sorry to part with it, but I just found when testing tubas that I enjoy the play of a York-tuba more. I bought this tuba used a year ago in excellent condition, and there are some minor cosmetic dents and scratches, but nothing that in any way impacts the sound. The tuning is great, with only minor slide pulling necessary on the first slide to achieve great intonation, and all slides function smoothly. The low register especially on this horn is super open and broad, while the middle sounds like a powerhouse and the upper register is clear and dark. I have played this tuba about every day for the past year in preparation for auditions, and it has never failed me.

I check this forum with limited regularity, so feel free to email me at email2daniel2@gmail.com" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank or DM me here if you are interested. The horn is located in the Baltimore/Washington area, I am willing to drive up to a couple hours to meet to try the horn, and I am willing to ship but cost of shipping must be paid by the buyer.
