I hope everyone is happily quarantining and browsing Tubenet!
I picked this horn up a few months ago and decided to sell in favor of something else. It’s unmarked, but the Tubenet consensus is that it’s probably a Cerveny, but who knows for sure. Definitely German, definitely BBb, and the only oddity I can find is that it has a really small (bass trombone-sized) shank. I have a mouthpiece I can include with the horn. I have a good box to ship it in, and am happy to ship it to you (even if that means braving the Greyhound station).
It’s also possible that I can help with delivery to various points within a few hours of here (KS, OK, NM,
SOLD!!

I love the gentle swoopy curves in the lead pipe and 4th valve tubing.

Just FWIW "Definitely German" and "Cerveny" are mutually exclusive. Doesn't look Cerveny to me but very Markneukirchen/Kraslice in appearance.
Paddles and clock spring cases look old - 1930s or earlier.
I'll bet that it is a great player.

Thanks everyone! And sorry for the misnomer, I think of “German” as in not made in America or China, and should probably just say European.
Intonation is good. The really low notes are a bit odd to me, but I think that’s because I’m playing it with a mouthpiece I’m not used to (w/ the bass trombone shank). It’s a cool horn and will definitely be a good player for someone!

I have a German Tuba that has the smaller shank. I use a Dennis Wick 3 in it.
What is the height and bell size?

Yep, I’ve got a DW 3 that I’m using in it as well. I would be happy to include that with the sale. The bell is 17.75” and it’s 40” tall.
