SOLD: Unique Isaac Fiske German Silver rotary Eb Helicon

Post by bisontuba »

Hi-
SOLD.
I am selling for a friend and long time collector from the West a ‘one of’ instrument...as rare as it gets. Incredible Eb German Silver Helicon with bell garland and 3 leaf spring string rotary valves by the celebrated maker ISAAC FISKE of Worcester MA...I date this c. 1868. Completely restored, small dent in bow ( pic 3), everything works, plays great, all ready to go. No case or mthpce. Fiske is one of the pioneers in American brass musical instrument making. Price for this very rare bird is $5000 plus packing/shipping charges.

I'm wondering if a large (obese) player would fit inside a small helicon like this. (?) If they got it on, would they be trapped in there?
