I'm selling my Yamaha 4/4 Rotary valve CC tuba
$4,000 OBO (plus shipping)[from Greater Philadelphia Area]
The horn has some normal wear and tear but nothing major.
Hard and soft cases included.
This is the first horn I ever bought back in 2010, so I've been slow to put it up for sale. I have a larger CC horn and a Small F horn so I really don't need it anymore.
This would be a great horn for someone looking for a solid CC tuba.

Here are some general specifications for the horn:

The 861 features a traditional German rotary tuba configuration with its long leadpipe and large bore size. It offers a warm deep sound with an abundance of tonal colors, and excellent intonation. Yamaha CC tubas feature hand-lapped pistons and hand-lapped tuning slides for smooth, airtight action. The clear epoxy finish and gold brass leadpipe will provide durable protection against corrosion.

Hand-lapped slides: Hand-lapping achieves the perfect balance between airtightness and smooth action.
Nickel-silver spatula keys: Carefully positioned nickel-silver spatula keys are strong and are capable of comfortable, fast fingering.
Ball joints for rotary valves: The Yamaha-developed ball joints for the rotary valve levers are durable, yet achieve silent operation and light action.
Leadpipe: The long leadpipe contributes to a beautiful, dark, smooth tone which blends well with other instruments.
Tuning slide positioning: The careful positioning of the tuning slides makes it easier to adjust the slides while playing.
Steel wire bell rim reinforcement: The reinforcement of the bell rim improves the strength and response of the YCB-861.
Large, handmade bell: Impeccable intonation plus outstanding tone and response are a result of the handmade bell.
Fourth valve slide wrap: Uniform response throughout the tuba is assisted by the open wrap fourth valve slide.
