FS/FT: Kanstul 80 F Tuba (Silver) - $7000
Posted: Tue Jun 16, 2020 5:18 pm
Selling my Kanstul 80 Silver F Tuba. A really great horn... Sad to see it go. But my needs have changed and looking for a different horn. Asking for $7000 or a trade for a Willson 3200 XS F Tuba or a Yamaha YFB-621.
This a smaller f (3/4) which is great for technical, solo, and small ensemble playing, but it has a rather large bell and open feel that allows you to pump out some volume when necessary. The low C comes out very easily on this horn!
The first valve has been vented. Willing to chem clean before a sale.
Willing to ship at buyers expense, but I'd prefer a local sale. Horn is in the Champaign, IL area, and it comes with an MTS hard case shown in the pictures.

From Kanstul:
The renown design and expert workmanship from Zigmant Kanstul is heralded in this new F tuba – the first production F tuba made in the United States.
Inspired by the classic J.W. York instruments of the early 20th century, this innovative design addresses all the needs from F tuba players looking for an improved instrument: outstanding intonation, even response throughout the entire range of the instrument, and a dependable low C with a natural full resonance not found on other F tubas. LA studio player John Van Houten records extensively with one, as does renowned player and educator Beth Mitchell.
MSRP $13,370 in lacquer finish; inquire for silverplate pricing.
