Hello All, I'm relaying this ad for a student (please contact him at the address below)-I can vouch for both him and the horn:
MW 3450 CC in lacquer with original gig bag; 4 pistons+rotary, 748/.807 bore with 17.3" bell. Horn was customized by Martin Wilk including extra bracing and a re-angling of the (original) leadpipe making it more "York-style", (this enables a smaller player to get their hands closer to the pistons). There is also a unique 4th valve button extension which is great if you have trouble reaching the large piston set, (the original button will be included also). All pistons were vented and the third and fourth pistons are MAW valves, providing a significant improvement in the pedal range. A 4/4 horn that plays much bigger in the right hands. Slight dings here and there, nothing serious.
Asking $8,000 or best offer. The horn is located in Northern NJ, 40 minutes from NYC. Prefer not to ship, but it's not out of the question. Contact colewhitts@gmail.com" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
