Hello!

For sale ist the following Instrument:

BBb-Tuba Melton-Meinl-Weston 197/2 Original

4 rotary valves
Bore: .846’’
Bell: 18.1’’
Height: 44,9’’
Silver Plated

Typical positive-/negative-trigger on 1st valve slide, trigger on 2nd valve slide to use with the right thumb, 4th slide works smoothly. An overflow-key was added to the 2nd valve slide by Jake Kline („The Berliner Tuba“) improving the response for certain notes, especially high a or b.

Build in 2015, the instrument could pass as new, except it has a few minor scratches from normal professional use.

In a nutshell: an awesome instrument with the typical dark sound of the famous 1930s Bohland&Fuchs Kaiser-Tubas. It accompanied me for many years in some of the best known German orchestras e.g. Bamberg Symphony, Berlin Radio Symphony as well as my work place Brandenburg State Orchestra.
