Brand new, mint, in box.
Used just long enough to realize this isn't quite a fit for me.
If you like wide rims and a Helleberg funnel, this may be for you.

Details from Schilke site:
**NEW** Developed working with Yasuhito Sugiyama, Principal Tuba of the Cleveland Orchestra, the SHII-CLE features a design which is a modification of the classic SHII. A larger inner diameter (33.27), slightly deeper cup, larger throat, and subtly lighter weight combine to offer a vibrant & colorful tone with quick response.

I'd like to try a Roylance Dillon - happy to do an even swap for one of those in good condition.
Otherwise - make me a fair $ offer, given condition/value.
Purchased weeks ago for $174 from a vendor who offer no return for credit, it turns out.

thanks-
Jim

Is the rim itself wide, or do you just mean it's a wide diameter cup? Also, is it a Euro-shank, standard shank or a 'tweener' shank.

the rim is wide (33.27).
Standard shank.
Also - on-hold pending payment from an eager party.

Not to belabor a point, but 33.27 is the diameter of the cup. Let me ask my question in a different way: does this have the typical flat Helleberg type rim, or was the rim itself changed significantly. I fully understand the m.p. is on hold.

I believe it has the same rim contour as the SHII, but that is based on my memory of that rim (which I played for years), not a sample to compare.

Thanks for correcting my nomenclature. You are right! Rim width is the measurement from the outside to the inside of the rim. Not the diameter of the cup. The cup diameter is what I am referring to it, and its too wide for me...

What I'm really driving is this: if the rim itself is fairly thin, I'm wondering if this might have been a deliberate attempt at copying the old Helleberg "Chief" (?). The Chief also had a wide diameter cup.

Nope -not a thin rim a la Stofer Geib.
Standard SHII.
Just on a wider cup.
