For sale: Yamaha Silent Brass Tuba Mute & USB Audio Interface for $250
This tuba mute saved me so many times practicing in an apartment during my Master’s Degree. It’s the older model, but I gotta say it works just as well. I’ve used it on CC tubas, F tubas, BBb, it doesn’t matter. Pretty much one size fits all. Would highly recommend for those of you trying to practice at night in an apartment. Not once did a neighbor complain about me using it during my 2 years studying.
I experimented a lot with “amplifying” my horn and using pedal effects. I bought a USB audio interface that essentially let me use garage band pedals on my tuba when hooked up to the Silent Brass mute. Worked very well! Never got around to using it on gigs. Audio interface is included! All cables included!
