I've been looking into piston F tubas recently and have entertained the idea of possibly selling my current F tuba. I am FAR more interested in a trade, admittedly, but if the sale is worth it then I might be up for it. I purchased this horn in 2017 and it has served me well but like I said, I am looking into piston Fs. Below are some specs on the horn.
-Dates back to 1984 GDR
-5/4 with 5 valves, Lacquer finish, natural wear and tear due to age, few bumps and dings but nothing that affects the function of the horn!
-Does NOT come with the extra leadpipe and 5th valve slide (per the package if brought brand new).
-Service history is up to date, just had all of the linkages checked and cleaned up.
-Has a wonderful tone and characteristic sound of a German F.
-Typical quirks with the B nat. to D flat range but with the right equipment, that range will feel like a breeze!
I am looking for $8,000. Does NOT come with gig bag. Located in Wake Forest, NC. Shipping would be at the buyer's expense.
PM me for interests and pictures.
