Wessex Prokofiev 6/4 BBb $7,500 OBO
Selling a lightly used Wessex Prokofiev 6/4 BBb tuba in silver finish. In my opinion this is one of the best larger tubas available hands down. This is not a stock Prokofiev as it has an 18 bell rather than the standard 20 inch bell. This horn was hand picked and finished for Chuck Nickles whom designed the instrument. The tuba includes an extra set of alternate length tuning slides for the 1st, 4th, and main slides. Hard case and gig bag are included. The instrument is located in NE Pennsylvania. I find that the 18 bell allows a little more control, clarity, and less effort. It still possesses many of the traits of a stock Prokofiev but is just a little bit easier to play.
