For sale today is a custom Gnagey CC tuba for $5,000 (price reasonably negotiable). I couldn't initially remember what tubas had been "recruited" to build this horn, but I have since been informed that it was a King 1241 and a Holton, and I can also attest to it being the perfect tuba for a college student. I acquired this tuba from James Gourlay - who may have more information on the tuba than I can provide - and it carried me through my undergrad. Due to an unfortunate string of circumstances, however, the time has come for me to part ways with this gentle giant. It is currently located in Maryville, TN, just outside of Knoxville. I would prefer local sales no further than Nashville or Chattanooga or that 200-mile radius, if at all possible - the closer the better - but this tuba doesn't have a case and has never had one, so I don't feel comfortable shipping it, honestly. Please feel free to DM me if interested, I'll try to provide as many answers as I can. This tuba just needs to move QUICK.
