This is what I used as a "Big horn" piece for a very long time before switching over to something that i felt is more general use. This mouthpiece has a 33.2 mm inner rim diameter and an 8.8mm throat, and quite deep. I find it the perfect mouthpiece for Russian orchestra pieces or when you are really trying to emulate that string bass type sound. Ive used it on an Alex 164 and a MW Tuono with great success though the Alex became quite the air hog and Im not the biggest guy in the world. I had the shank straightened out once which caused the gold on the shank to come off over time but it just looks ugly and the shank fits smoothly again.
