SOLD

Post by BBruce107 »

Hello all,

I am looking to move my CC tuba. I have a ZO Thor clone (C7000) that I am looking to trade or sell. If I were to sell I am looking for $4500 which includes the case shipping is covered by the buyer. For trades I am looking for any of the following.

Big Mouth Brass 6/4 CC
Piston valve F tuba (Yamaha 621, JP 2250, big mouth brass)
G&P Cimbasso

I am located in Kalamazoo Michigan and not opposed to shipping this tuba. Reach out for photos and recordings!

How does this horn compare to the real Thor?

Asking from Columbus, Ohio!

I’d say it is very comparable however, at least to my ear it has a much less abrasive sound and more of a closer to a PT-6P. Very dark and even sounding tuba! Shoot me your contact and I’ll send you some photos and recordings!!

Had the chance to play his ZO Thor recently. It is a very good tuba. Excellent response/slotting, great big sound, and tubing seems very good (didnt use a tuner, but i usually can feel/hear notes that are way off). I recently played some another Made-in-China, marketed as "5/4", CC, 4P+1R tuba and liked this one much more than that one. Didnt buy his ZO Thor because I'm not looking for anything like this... I was just curious about how it played. I'll also note that I used to play a MW Thor 5450. I liked his for many of the same reasons I liked the MW, but I wont try to compare the two since I didnt have them side by side.
