Conn 24j For Sale

I’d like to sell my Conn 24j 6/4 with detachable recording bell and short action valves. I always wanted a 6/4, and finally got one 5 years ago, but it’s too darn heavy for me now that I’m 70. Most of the lacquer is gone. I polished the inside of the bell so that you could see what some elbow grease and MAAS can do for the horn.
Serial Number N139XX puts it at 1970 according to the Conn Selmer website. Scratches and dents are plentiful, but not too noticeable from 3 feet away. See pictures.
Nice tone, all slides pull, valves are smooth. I don’t want to ship this thing. Located in Elkhart.
I’ll be driving from Indiana through Dayton, Charleston, Beckley, Richmond, and Norfolk next week, and returning via D.C. and the PA and OH turnpikes the following week, so meeting up along those corridors is possible.
Asking $1250
