Besson New Standard Eb Tuba (4-V Compensating)

Post by tbonesf »

SOLD Besson New Standard Eb Tuba (4-V Compensating)

It's time to thin out my stable. I'm selling my Besson New Standard (forerunner to the Sovereign) Eb, 4-valve, compensating tuba.

She's been sitting for about 7 years. She's a player, for sure, but since I only play Eastman now, it's time for her to go.

Dimensions:
15" bell
34" h x21" w
19.25lbs

Shows some signs of wear, but has minimal denting. Plating is all there, but takes some effort to polish to original luster.

Leadpipe is nearly pristine.
All slides move freely.

Valves:
-move fluidly and quitely.
-new springs
-plating shows signs of wear, but still retain compression

Ball-buster and harness/strap rings have been removed to make it more comfortable to hold.

No case or bag.

I'm asking $2000 US.

PM me with questions.
*I have some audio samples of me playing this tuba on my website: http://www.brassopera.com/listen-cv.html
