MM Tuba Recital in Boulder, CO

Post by Dan Castillo »

Hi! I'm having a degree recital next Wednesday April, 26 at 7:30PM and I would love to see you there! It's at Old Main Chapel on the CU Boulder Campus. I'll give directions my best shot later, but first, here's the program:

Jacques Castérède - Sonatine pour tuba et piano
J.S. Bach (edited. by Floyd Cooley) - Partita in a minor, BMV 1013

Intermission

Walter S. Hartley - Aria for tuba and piano
Greg Carroll - Studies in American Folk Idiom
Walter S. Hartley - Sonata No. 3 for tuba and piano

Caryl Conger, Piano

If you're coming from North of the University, you'll want to take Broadway south until you hit University Ave. Make a left and head East on University until you reach a little fork and veer to the right. Stay to the right and follow the road up a small hill. This road is closed before 5PM, but should be open at this point. When the road comes to an end, make a left, drive a little ways and you'll see a parking lot on the left. If you walk out the front of the parking lot, you'll see the library in front of you, make a right and walk west on the road you were just driving on (Pleasant St.) You'll pass a Humanities on the left followed by a giant Castle-like structure on your right which is Macky Auditorium. After passing that, the next building on your left is Old Main.

If ya don't like my directions, go to www.colorado.edu and type Old Main in the little search box. It should give you a link to a map of the CU Boulder campus which may be helpful.

Thanks!
