Tuba, Jazz & Ribs - 7/22

Hello,

I'll be playing tuba at the Jazz and Ribs Festival in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday (July 22). The group includes B-3 organ (played by my brother Jon), guitar, drums, and a guest tenor saxaphonist, Ralph Bowen. We'll play from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on the Bicentennial Park stage.

Ralph Bowen teaches at Rutgers, used to play with Horace Silver and also Out of the Blue, and has recorded many CDs as leader. I noticed this quote on his website:

"I think of saxophonist Ralph Bowen, who has to be one of the greatest talents this school has ever attracted on any instrument since I've been here. He is a world class player."
