The Los Angeles Metropolitan Brass Band

Post by Abeltuba »

Please see this Note from the President of the LA metro Brass:

Hello, my friends:

I'd like to invite you to check out the MySpace page and new website of what will become one of the finest British-style brass bands in the U.S.: "The L.A. Metropolitan Brass Band."

The L.A. Metro Brass is on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/lametrobrass You can view the official website at http://www.LAMetroBrass.com I am once again working (with tremendous help from a few good friends) to organize the band into a permanent fixture here in the L.A. area, and we have a series of fall concerts already posted on the website.

Add us as a friend. Join our notification list, which you can sign up for on the official site. And don't forget to attend one of our spectacular concerts!

I hope to be seeing you at one of them!

Aaron "Stan the Man" Stanley, President
L.A. Metro Brass Band

The MySpace link didn't work for me, and your website has no names listed for Eb and BBb Bass. Who is playing in those chairs?

LA Metropolitan Brass band Holding auditions

Post by Abeltuba »

Hi Steve,

I've gone ahead and fixed the problem with the links. They should be working now.

The band will be holding auditions (see info on the website: http://www.LAMetroBrass.com) so we don't know who will play tuba permanently. They have been bringing in tubists from the major LA Area and surrounding suburbs for the past concerts. Very good players though!

Cheers,

Abel http://www.LAMetroBrass.com
