Post by T. J. Ricer »

Hey, Guys,
I'll be giving my first DMA degree recital at the Eastman School of Music on October 3rd at 3:30 PM. It will be in Klibourn Hall in the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Please PM for more info. Here's the program:

"King's Prayer" from Iolanta, Tchaikovsky, arr. Lichtmann
"Sonatina" for Piano and Tuba, Doug Spata
"Four Spirituals" for Tuba and Trombone Quartet, arr. Velvet Brown
--featuring Midtown Bones
"Tuba Tiger Rag" arr. Henderson
"Come Together", Lennon, arr. Van Hof
--featuring Emerald Brass

intermission

"Lonely Room" from Oklahoma!, Rodgers (sung)
"War and Rumors of War" (tuba concerto), Barbara York
"Fnugg", Oystein Baadsvick

recital accompanied by Kathryn Voelker on piano

Hope to see a few of you out there. It should be an "audience-friendly" tuba recital.

All the best to you - wish I could be there. Anyone in the area that can get to this recital should. TJ is a heck of a player and a terrific person as well.

This sounds like a really good and entertaining program.
