The London Brass Symposium was formed by Stuart Jenkins in 2000 and is principally a Large Orchestral Brass and Percussion Ensemble formed of players from London's Professional Orchestras, West-End show players and other Freelance Professional Musicians. Although the ensemble is generally made up of 16+ Orchestral Brass players plus Percussion it has also performed regularly as a quartet, quintet and ten piece ensemble when requested.

The aim of The London Brass Symposium is to perform and extend the orchestral brass repertoire and also to raise money for worthy causes by performing charity concerts in and around London and the South East. Recent concerts have supported "St. Christopher's Hospice", "Project Burundi" and the re-building of a church in Grove Park, South East London. Musical Directors for the ensembles previous concerts have included Paul Archibald, Lesley Lake and Michael Purton.
