Mississippi Band starting practice for May 23 concert...

If you are near Jackson, MS check out our community band at http://www.mcsb.us. The Mississippi Community Band is going on 5 years old and hosts 5 free concerts per year at Belhaven College Center For The Arts in Jackson. We have a large membership in the Jackson area, and had 79 players at our March 7 concert.

Our next concert is May 23. We practice Monday nights and our first practice for the May 23 concert is March 23. We have a good brass section, typically with about 12+ trumpets, 9-10 trombones, 3 French horns, 4 baritones and 2 tubas. No doubt, more tubists would be welcomed. You could never have too many good tubas in a band like this.
