Miraphone Academy

The Miraphone Academy, in partnership with the Sotto Voce Quartet, is hosting three sessions this summer in Greensboro, NC.

The Personal Development Academy will take place June 19-21, and will be offered in two tracks:

Collegiate/Young Professional and High School/Amateur. The tracks will work independently as well as in tandem. There will be times that all euphoniums from both tracks will be together, and the same for the tubas. Additionally, everyone will spend time with jazz and commercial artist (and owner/developer of Loud Mouthpieces) Joe Murphy. The cost is $175 for the three day workshop.

The Sotto Voce Symposium will take place June 25-28. The SV Symposium will be set aside for four quartets only, and those quartets will work intensively members of the quartet. The cost is $400 per quartet member ($1600 per quartet) for the four day workshop.

The Chamber Academy will take place June 26-28, concurrent with the Sotto Voce Symposium. The participants in this session will have some access to the SV symposium, but will be focusing on both chamber (primarily quartet) experience and large tuba/euphonium ensemble experience. The sessions will be led by Dennis AsKew and Joe Murphy. The cost is $175 for the three day workshop.
