I've attended two very enjoyable performances; it's free. Parking is difficult. Public transportation is good. Take a cab. Performances are at the Music Concourse, near the De Young Museum. One nice thing is if you walk a short distance (a 1/2 mile?) up 9th Ave you will find a variety of restaurants. The concert and an early dinner was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Re: Golden Gate Park Band, S.F. to October 4th
I'm so glad to see that this band is still playing, and with a fairly extensive season! I used to sub for Hank Neibolt in the late '90's, and it was great fun. Is Hank still playing there? If not, who is?
From what I understand, as late as the 80's the band was playing free Sunday concerts all year round.
Thanks for the notice!
