Jason Tacker and Timothy Howe- April 22nd

Dr. Timothy Howe (trombone) and Jason Tacker (tuba) will be giving a faculty recital at the campus of Arkansas Tech University in Witherspoon Auditorium, Russellville, Arkansas. The recital will begin promptly at 7:30pm.

Dr. Howe will perform works by Guy Ropartz, Barney Childs, and Tommy Dorsey. Timothy holds degrees from Northwestern and The University of Nebraska. He has studied with Scott Anderson, Frank Crisafulli, Vernon Forbes, Glenn Dodson, and others. Dr. Howe has been on faculty at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Grace University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Dana College, Concordia College, and Union College. He has also performed with the Chicago Civic, Omaha Symphony, Lincoln Symphony, Des Moines Opera, and other chamber/orchestral groups.

Mr. Tacker will perform works by Ralph Vaughan Willams and Edward Gregson. Jason is a native of Wynne, Arkansas and holds Degrees from Arkansas State University and The University of Arkansas. He has studied with Arnold Jacobs, Ben Pierce, Ed Owen, as well as others. On top of being an instructor at ATU, Tacker is a freelance tubist in Arkansas and the Midsouth. He has played with/or subbed for The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Delta Symphony Orchestra, Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and others.
