Hello all--
I will be performing a DMA recital that includes music geared towards my minor area, Experimental Music and Digital Media.
The program will be:
Andrzej Krzanowski - Sonata for Tuba (14")
unaccompanied minimalist aesthetic with loud low fast sections contrasted by soft high slow sections
Henri Lazarof - Cadence VI for Tuba and Fixed Media (7")
recorded part is prepared and pre-recorded by the performer
INTERMISSION
Steve Reich - Pendulum Music (~10")
microphones are attached to a horizontal pole and swung over their respective speakers creating feedback effects as they pass over said speaker.
James Tenney - Improvised Responses to Ergodos I
using a graphic of an X/Y axis with performance directives placed in the four quadrants performers improvise their part based on what they hear in the electronic piece Ergodos I. Performers include: pianos, percussion, brass, woodwinds, vocalists, and anything else that shows up.
Should be a fun time!!! Please show if you are in the area.

Re: DMA Recital
Sounds fun. Wish I could make it. Have fun, break a leg, and knock 'em dead!
