Army Band Concert Tonight in San Antonio!

Hello, fellow Tubenetters in and around San Antonio and South Texas!

The 323d Army Band "Fort Sam's Own" will be giving its FREE Holiday Concert tonight at the Scottish Rite Auditorium @ 7 pm. The address is 308 Avenue E, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A map to the auditorium can be found by accessing the following link:

It is going to be a fantastic show, featuring music by the Concert Band, led by Chief Warrant Officer Five Doug Paarmann and numerous performing groups, vocal and instrumental soloists. The "Los Tuba Cabras" Tuba-Euphonium Quartet of the 323d Army Band will also be providing some pre-show entertainment. We hope to see you there!

I attended this concert. It was long on entertainment. It was very long on showmanship. It was short on tuba playing. Don't misunderstand. The tuba players played very, very well. Just not very much. I'm glad I went.
